How to use SurgiZyme

Dilute SurgiZyme to 1% to 2% with running water. Open jointed instruments fully and soak them for at least 15 minutes. It works at room temperature, but warmer water at 32 °C to 43 °C gives the best enzyme performance.

  1. Dilute: make up a 1% to 2% solution with running water.
  2. Immerse: open all jointed instruments fully, then cover them completely in the solution.
  3. Soak: soak for at least 15 minutes, and up to 30 minutes for heavy soil.
  4. Rinse and dry: rinse thoroughly under running water and dry well with a clean cloth.
  5. Sterilise: sterilise all instruments as normal.

About SurgiZyme

SurgiZyme breaks down organic soils on surgical, medical and dental instruments, including human tissues and fluids, and cleans other plastic and metal surfaces too. Five enzymes do the work: protease, alpha-amylase, pectate lyase, lipase and mannanase. At neutral pH they offer broader material compatibility than alkaline chemistries, which suits delicate instruments. The concentrate is effective at low concentrations and at lower temperatures than traditional detergents. It is phosphate free and biodegradable.
